BIOGAS AS VEHICLE FUEL - Conference in Germany, 25th March

The utilisation of biogas as vehicle fuel has been sucessfully implemented in several European countries for years. In Germany, the utilisation path «vehicle fuel» hasn't been established yet. In the European research project BIOGASMAX the whole production chain from the generation of biogas up to the utilisation of biomethane in vehicles has been evaluated and successful project examples from Sweden, Switzerland, France and Italy have been demonstrated.

BIOGAS UPGRADING TO BIOMETHANE - Conference in Germany, 23rd 24th March

The upgrading of biogas to biomethane for feed-in to the natural gas grid or for use as vehicle fuel is gaining in interest and importance worldwide. More than 100 plants are already in operation and many are under construction or in the planning stage. During this conference we will elucidate the state of biogas upgrading worldwide. A special feature of the first day will be the get-together of those plant manufacturers who have constructed more than 90 % of all biogas upgrading plants in...

Market Report on Biomethane: Technologies and Costs of Conditioning Biogas and Feed-in into the Natural Gas Network

The German biomethane market is growing rapidly due to ambitious targets for biogas feed-in set by the German government: by 2020 60 billion kWh of natural gas are planned to be substituted by biogas. By the end of 2009, 30 upgrading plants will be feeding in about 3% of this target, in 2010 it will be 50 plants and 6%...

The Falköping Model - Excel based calculation model now available

The Falköping Model enables users to estimate market demand for biomethane in a region from evolving gas vehicle fleets and estimate supply capabilities from a range of production and distribution facilities. It takes a system perspective to model multiple actors across a 15 year time-span, allowing users to examine (and fine-tune!) the economic and environmental performance of the whole biomethane system, and its component parts.
